She pulled up middle pink section .
Then when I hooked up right strap = she clapped!
After I hhoked up left strap = we both clapped!
She got the biggest smile as I started to push her on the swing.

Weekend Visit
Gram and Grandpa came to visit Tatiana. Normally she wakes up around 10am, so that was when they arrived. But, she woke up at 8:30am with lots of snot coming out her nose. I was worried she would be cranky. She was very happy to see her Grandparents. She had recently been willing to sit through the reading of an entire book. She would bring you the book, and then wiggle away halfway through. But, she brought the book "Give a Pig a Party" to Gram, who read the book. Then she brought it to Grandpa, who read it to her, but Tatiana wiggled away about 3/4 of the way through. Then she brought it back to them several more times. Everytime Grandpa saw a Moose he said, "See the Moose. It is like an Elk, but an Elk is more attractive." We ate pizza and she ate a little bit of pizza with us. Tatiana went out back to play, and her Gram pushed in the swing for about an hour. Then later they played on the swing again. Her Grandpa and I discussed which of them were having the most fun. Tatiana gave her Gram an eskimo kiss, and demonstrated how she can blow kisses. Then I turned on the Children's Song CD. It was in the kitchen. Gram wanted to watch Tatiana dance in the living room, but Tatiana wanted to be where the music was. So, Gram and Tatiana danced in the kitchen. When we were all in the living room, Tatiana was sucking her thumb and had droopy eyes. Grandpa and Gram left and Tatiana was asleep probably before they were on a major road.

Put on PJ's by herself
Susie wrote: "Yesterday when I got home, she came running to greet me. She had been playing with her buckets, and she got so excited she threw them over the baby gate. I think she forgot they were in her hand when she reached for the top of the gate.
I told Scotland to remind me of cooing Tatiana next time I get upset about Tatiana wanting only him to comfort her.
The PJ's I put on last night were the Christmas ones that snap up the back. I held it in front of her. She put her right arm in all by herself, and made sure her thumb was through. Then she put her left arm through. Because both arms were in front she was able to do it all by herself!
She is so proud when she does something by herself. "

My coo-coo bird
Susie wrote: "Standard routine when I put Tatiana's PJ's on:
I lie her on the diaper table and check her diaper. Often she is without a cover when I start. Then I stand her up on the table. Almost always she then leans on me. She rests her cheek on my chest and tucks her hands in between us. Then I hold her and we rock back and forth. She coos. That is when I call her my coo-coo bird. I really enjoy that."

Susie wrote: "I had a hard evening last night. Tatiana decided she wanted to go round and round Yogi. Yogi was being a good dog in a sit, but really close to the couch where I was. Tatiana had to squeeze through between Yogi and the couch. I was trying to help her, and she ended up falling.
She didn't want me to hold her, she wanted Scotland to hold her.
I started to cry. I'd been holding it in, so it was a really hard cry. I know it is because he is the one home with her. But, it still hurt.
Later on, I forget where we were, but no one was in the bedroom. Tatiana disappeared into the bedroom. When I went to find her, she was sitting in the computer chair typing on the keyboard. She was signing us up for TurboTax."

"Go to sleep"
Susie wrote: "Yesterday when they got back from errands, Tatiana was ready for her nap but not asleep. Scotland put her in the crib, and said, "Go to sleep". She went "Ahhhhhh", then fell asleep.
He said sometimes at night he will tell her to go to sleep and she will close her eyes really tight and pretend to be asleep."

First Bath by herself
Sunday evening Tatiana had her first bath all by herself. Of course I right there. I hadn't planned on it, because up until now I had been taking a bath with her. But, I have been gathering all her bath toys and have been making sure they stay in the bath. She tries to climb into the tub fulling clothed. So, as soon as the water is a good temperature, I let her in. Even though there is only about an inch of water then. When I did that, I looked at Tatiana and all the toys, and realized there wasn't room for me! She had so much fun. She discovered her fishies. I used one to dump water on her, and she thought that was neat. She figured out how to do it. Then she would pick up a fishy and dump the water on herself, meanwhile I was getting the other fishy filled with water, then we would swap. At first, she spent so much time looking at the fishy, that the water dumped out the backside of it. Then when she lifted it over her head, all the water was gone. Yogi was quite concerned during the bath. She just knew that the water was very dangerous, and I might need her help.

On Saturday, I had tried to schedule something with Susan, but that fell through. Before it did, we'd arranged for Scotland to take Tatiana to his mother's while he played soccer. We decided to leave that in place so I could get some stuff done at home. As they were leaving, I disappeared to make that easier. But, Tatiana did not want to leave without me. She thought Scotland was forgetting me. So, Scotland called for me. I came and waved bye-bye to her, and then she was willing to leave.
Saturday night, her teeth were really hurting. She gets very cuddly when that happens. For some reason she has attached to a really nice suit jacket of mine. She cuddles it and puts it over her head. We were watching TV, and she decided she wanted all three of us to be under the jacket. Scotland and I were sitting close together, and she crawled into our laps. Then the jacket went over everyone's heads. Then she looked at both of us very happily. A couple of times she moved the jacket, just to prove to herself that she could. But, we probably spent a half hour under the jacket. When she is cranky from being in pain, it is so nice to see her smile.
Sunday was pretty uneventful. She started the morning outside, like normal. We played. Scotland left for soccer. She took a nap. Scotland got home. He didn't have time to shower, before I had to leave for a Mensa meeting. I came home and they were playing in the mancave. I love the way her face lights up when she sees me. She pooped and played some more, then she went to bed.

5th Molar

"She had a hard day yesterday. She woke up before I left for work. Normally, she is consolable. Sometimes I can get her back in the crib. Sometimes I have to wake Scotland up. But when I have to wake Scotland up, I can tell that if I had more time, that I could get her back to bed. Not yesterday morning. She is getting her 5th molar. I sure will be glad when teething is done.
Scotland said she was miserable all day except when they were at Kroger and Home Depot. At the grocery store, she pushes the cart. It is sooo adorable. She pushes on that lower shelf. Yes, I do have video of it from Monday when I had a holiday."

"Tatiana was really hurting last night. She woke up about 4:30am. I think she'd woke up before then, but Scotland would have gotten her then. She really wanted to get back to sleep, but I could tell she was hurting. I ended up grabbing the comforter and pillows and sleeping on the bed in the nursery. Tatiana was in the crib, and every now and then she screamed, and I told her I was there, and then she'd go back to sleep."
Tatiana Update#2: "Tatiana and I went to the mall playarea last night. It was great! There were only a few kids and none of them were too old. There was a little girl a little older than Tatiana who had brought her dolly to the playarea. Like Tatiana's Dolly (but not as nice). She had gone down the slide and the dolly got left on the bottom of it. A boy 3 or 4 picked it up and ran off with it toward the exit, then came back without it. The little girl was crying heart-broken tears. Tatiana is so good at fetching stuff, so I sent her to go get it. She went, but came back without it.
So, I went. The little boy had put it in the back of a stroller. So, I got the doll and handed it to Tatiana and told her to take it to the little girl. She walked over to the little girl, about 15 feet away. I had to help with the handover. The little girl was so happy to get her dolly back."

Hugging Baby

"Scotland said she slept until 10am, and she had a good day.
Background, Tatiana does not like to walk in the dark. When we don't want her to go somewhere we turn off the light. The bedtime routine is, I put her in PJ's. Then I hand her to Scotland in the Mancave/Playroom. One of us makes sure she has her nighttime bottle that has whipping cream in it.
During the Mancave time, I stay in the bedroom. If I open the door at just the wrong time I can delay her going to bed because she sees me and gets all excited.
Last night, she was in the mancave with daddy, and I really really had to use the restroom, only I didn't have any toilet paper. So, I left the bedroom, but I didn't turn lights on. Scotland said she was snuggled in his lap with a book when she saw me. She tossed the book, and wiggled out of his lap.
She walked down the dark hallway, and into the even darker bathroom! I scooped her up and put her in my lap. She is such a good hugging baby."
