AHG Social skills

Tatiana is learning social skills in AHG.  They were learning how to introduce someone to someone else.  There was much giggling involved.  Izzy is doing the introductions.

Cheerleading Practice

Tonight is cheerleading practice.   Here she is, my little Texan.

Play play play

Yesterday, Tatiana woke up, did her handwriting, then her math.  She was making math harder than it needed to be.  For example, the problem was a list of 4 lengths and instead of writing the one that was the smallest as in the instructions, she was adding them.   She was motivated to get math done because they were going to Brody and Toby's house. 

According to Scotland this is what she did there,
"Play, play, play, play.   Play some more.   Pet the puppies.  Pet the lamb.   Feed the lamb whose birthday was Friday.  Play, play, play.  Dance Party, with the animals.  Play, play, play."   Elisa was able to play with the little kids since she didn't have chores to do, and she seemed to enjoy that. 

One other thing, I had been starting to worry about Tatiana's thumb-sucking, that we'd have a hard time.  But, I realized this morning that Tatiana hadn't done that in awhile.  She just decided to stop and did. 

AHG Badge Workshop

Saturday, we went to an AHG badge workshop.  It was lots of fun.  In the break between courses they made a 'Hands of Lo e' wreath to give to someone at a Nursing home.   You see her working hard.

Macy came over for a sleepover and spent all night.  This was a first for her.  Yesterday morning was co-op.  Scotland brought Toby and Brody over for the afternoon.  Then I took all three kids to Macy's 7th birthday party.   Everyone had fun.  The plan had been for me to take macy home with us for the sleepover.  But I needed to take the boys with me.  Brody got to ride in the front.

Dancing and Jumping on the New Floor

That blur is Tatiana dancing and jumping on the new floor.   It just needs the "Buff Coat", whatever that is.   She's had a taking an easy day today.  She has had a couple of naps. 

Handwriting

When Tatiana wakes up, she has a handwriting worksheet for her to do first thing when she wakes up.   I am working from home, and I noticed that Scotland had put a piece of candy on her handwriting worksheet.  Looks like an easy one today.   Today's date, our birthdays, and "Mommy Loves You".   Math is waiting for her too.  Probably why handwriting is easy.   She is doing long addition and subtraction with carrying and she tries to do it in her head.  Which causes whining. 

Tatiana did two of the Science Experiments in the Science Lab that she got for Christmas.   This was #2.   Can you make a hole in a balloon without popping it?    True/False.    They are trying to introduce Scientific Theory with the true/false.   Although, I suspect that all the answers will be True.   They had us blow up the balloon but not all the way.   Then dip the bamboo skewer in vegetable oil.  Then stick the skewer in on the opposite side of the opening.  and through to the other side.    She thought that was pretty neat.  She was holding her balloon up so cute that I had to get my camera.  Then she started to make stupid faces.   That was the best of the bunch of photos, which isn't saying much.  The first balloon was blown up too much so it popped. 

We also played the Math Flux game, and we each won one.  She won on her first turn.  You had to have a keeper that was your age, and she had a 7 in her hand.   Earlier she had played Slapzi with Scotland and beat him by a bunch.   I mostly spent the day in bed.
