Sunday at board games place
Sunday, when Tatiana woke up she started on the math that I'd laid out for her. I started to get out an IKEA thing to build. She asked if she could help me build when she was done with that math sheet. I said Yes. She was done by the time I was ready to start to build the right trash drawer. She was a good help. I think building IKEA stuff is good for her because she has to study the drawing and pay attention to details. The KIWI crates develop that same skill.
She'd gone back to schoolwork, which was her handwriting. She asked if she could watch TV. I said that she could watch a little after she was done with handwriting. Then we worked some more, and Scotland woke up. After he'd settled in, he asked what time it was. I looked at the clock and church had started 15 minutes before that. So, we hustled into nice cloths and went to church.
After church, Tatiana changed clothes and I grabbed some food and we went to the family night at the board game place. Scotland couldn't go because he was meeting Godfather Ty. We had a lot of fun. Ambre and Carol were there. We played the Potion game (Tatiana picked it out). We all enjoyed that. Then we played the Camel Race game. That was good too. They both were different from other games. Then we played Splendor. Weirdly, the group doesn't own that one. But, someone brought it with them. Carol hadn't played it. We played to 15. Tatiana was to my right and she was quite pleased that she took the card I wanted, several times. In fact, that is what she told Scotland when he asked her at bedtime about her afternoon.
Then Ambre and Carol had to leave. Tatiana and I played a couple of games. I was getting tired of the silly games and was making 'going home' noises. Then Tatiana told me that a little girl was there and could she play with her. Of course she could. Everyone was playing games with each other, so I walked to the 7-11 to get hot dogs for me and donuts for her. Tatiana asked for two, and I knew one was for the other little girl. About when I was done eating, a guy showed up. We played a slightly complicated game that was fun. Don't know if I'd want to buy it, but it was fun.
Tatiana and the other girl had made a mess. But, they didn't fuss when we said it was cleanup time. The other girl's daddy and I helped.
