Amazing daughter last weekend
Friday, after co-op, Toby. Brody, Frances, Donna, William and Piper came over to play. They all played so cute together. At one point they were playing 'Cops', which involves pretending to shoot people, then capturing them and taking them to 'prison' which is Tatiana's bedroom. Donna was appointed 'Warden.' I expect that Donna and whoever was her prisoner just played in there. I'd been pleased that none of them wanted to be the criminal. That is why they were playing Cops. Not Cops and Robbers. Then they started to play 'Math Teacher'. Tatiana made a homework sheet of math problems. She was proud of herself that all the answers were 100. Then one of the kids asked if they were playing 'Math Teacher' why were there all these guns laying around? Tatiana said, "In case there is a School Shooting" The other kids thought that was reasonable, but I was floored. Scotland and I talked about it later. In the car, he'd deliberately stuck to music stations because the Florida School Shooting was ALL the talk radio was talking about. But even the music stations talked about it a lot, with frequent updates.
Saturday we went to the Cheerleading game. We thought it was cute, that when she ran to the bathroom, about 3 kids followed. They thought she was going to play. They have one free period where they can play. There are six six-minute periods. Then Scotland and I took a nap that afternoon while she played quietly and nicely. Ty came over in the evening and we went to dinner. Tatiana is always so happy to see him. Ty said something nice. He said he was thinking that afternoon, "I am going to see my family" We went to dinner, and then when we got back Ty's back hurt so he had to lay on the couch. Tatiana was disappointed we couldn't play Splendor. but, she brushed her teeth and laid down in bed wearing her dress and her beloved zebra print jacket. She fell asleep reading the Dr. Seuss tongue twisters book. We all went in to look at her.
Sunday we went to church, then to the Family Games afternoon. There were some little girls for Tatiana to play with. We played a game as a family because she was shy. Then Scotland was her wingman, and she played with the girls for awhile. Ambre, the one that told me about it, played games with us. I had a ton of fun. Scotland said it was a good weekend for it since it was cold and rainy outside. Then the girls and Ambre left so we played a couple of games as a family. Then we went home and watched a little bit of Harry Potter 5 movie.
