Mother's Day weekend
I don't remember where we got these shoes. They are Converse shoes that someone painted with pink sparkly paint. They didn't have shoelaces. When we went to Greenville to watch the dance recital, we stopped at a Walmart on the way home. Tatiana had wanted some pink sparkly shoelaces. But, then we saw these. They are silicon strips that go across. We think that they are adorable, so I took a photo.
Saturday we went to another dance studio's recital. Tatiana had wanted to watch one. This one actually charged money for tickets, but I had promised. It was also worth the money to see one at the same location as hers. She enjoyed it at first, but then was bored. I think part of it was that we didn't know anyone performing. Also, since all the dancers had their hair slicked back, they all looked alike. It was almost as if it was the same performers.
After the recital we went to Walmart to buy the shoe laces. We bought some Blue Bell too. Then we came home and had a relaxing day. She has been cleaning her room and closet. She also went through her shoes are sorted them into too small and too big, and the rest she put on her shelves. We played our latest game Cytosis. She beat me again.
Sunday I woke up at my normal time convinced it was Monday. I was very unhappy that I had to wake up. I think I thought it was Monday was because Saturday was a weekend's worth of relaxation. Neither Scotland nor Tatiana wanted to wake up, so I let them sleep.
Scotland went to the Plano house early so that he could paint the outside of the house while the sun was in a good place, and while it wasn't raining. Tatiana and I did work and then took breaks and played games. It was nice. In the evening, I called Gram. It was a nice call. Tatiana talked like such a grown-up. Tatiana was shocked that it was Mother's Day. She'd had it in her mind that it was Monday and that I was staying home. She'd wanted to make me breakfast. She had an idea of making it Sunday night and then putting it in the microwave to keep it safe. She was distressed when I told her that wouldn't work. I told her that she could do that next weekend.
She has been practicing with the jump rope. She showed me how she was doing and she did so many without stopping that I lost count.
